I was lucky enough to grow up on the Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire,
my earliest memories from that time are of walking in the Beech woods and of the carpet of Bluebells under a canopy of Hazel,
Oaks and Beech.
I am sure this has influenced my latest Yew pens, I am using a blue stain to enhance the grain and
to give a feeling that a wood exsists within the pen or pencil.
I am using a new design of pen and pencil which allows
the body of the pen/pencil to be all wood, I shall be making some new and interesting shapes over the next few weeks.
